Private Lessons

We love to teach.  Seeing our students improve in skills and confidence is our greatest reward.  Our standards are high and it is our job to help our students become the best social or competitive dancers they are capable of becoming.  We are happy to provide lessons for individuals, couples or groups.

Our wonderful purposed build air conditioned studio is on the 1st Floor, 18 Windorah Street, Stafford, Brisbane. Up to 4 people can attend the private lesson, however if you have more people who want to attend the lesson, please feel free to contact us.

Throughout the year we are also invited to teach interstate, throughout New Zealand and Asia.  contact us to see when we will be there.

Important note – Please ready payment conditions.

Please note that all lessons cancelled with between 24 - 48 hours notice will be CHARGED IN FULL, no matter what the reason.  If you are not prepared to accept this condition please do not book private lessons.

Wedding Couples

There is nothing more romantic than learning your first dance as husband and wife.  Whether it’s a whirling Waltz, a snazzy Salsa, a Tantalizing Tango or a Daring Disco, our expert teachers at Perry’s Dance Academy have turned the most nervous novice into a Dance floor Diva!

At Perry’s Dance Academy, we find that so many of our Bridal Couples mention how their bridal dance was such a highlight for their guest and for themselves.  This is largely due to our philosophy regarding the art of dance – it’s primarily about having fun and feeling the rhythm between your partner and the music.

Crash course - 1 lesson. In a rush? Wedding around the corner?  Just need to survive?  Even 1 lesson is better than trying to “just wing it!”

1 x  55min private lesson for Bride and Groom

• 55min private lesson with one of our great instructors in our brand new AIR CONDITIONED studio in Stafford

• Suitable for everyone, no previous dance experience required

• Ideas and guidance for a slow or casual first dance

• Learn the basics of dancing: connection, rhythm and movement

• You will require more lessons if you would like a routine for your song

For couples who want to have a beautiful wedding dance with a few polished moves whilst looking natural and elegant performing it. 

6 x 55 minute private lessons for Bride and Groom

• 6 x 55 min private lessons with one of our great instructors in our brand new AIR CONDITIONED Studio in Stafford

• No previous dance experience is required

• One of a kind Choreography for 1 special dance of your choice including some basic moves, more advanced spins, turns and dips to work into your dance

• Depending on your level of dance, or if you would like to learn a full routine to your song, you may require more lessons

• Music editing (bridal Song, if required)

• Free DVD of your Choreographed special Dance

• $378 inc GST paid up front (normally $420 – 10% discount)

 The Ultimate Storybook Wedding Dance Package

For couples who want to have that extra Flare and polish to their wedding and learn some extra social dancing for their wedding.

10 x 55min private lessons for Bride and Groom

• 10 x 55 min private lessons with one of our great instructors in our brand new AIR CONDITIONED studio in Stafford

• One of a kind Choreography for 1 special dance of your choice. 

• The complexity of the routine will depend on your level of dance skill.  If you want it more complicated, and depending on your level of dance, you may require more lessons.

• Music editing (Bridal Song, if required)

• Free DVD of your Choreographed special Dance

• $560 inc GST paid up front (normally $700 – 20% discount)

 All packages include a free 15 minute consultation to meet your instructor, plan your music, the style/rhythm of the dance that suits and also answer any questions you may have.

We do a lot of dancing during the classes so be prepared to get warm, so it doesn’t matter what you wear as long as you are comfortable.

We do recommend that you wear shoes with either rubber or leather soles as dancing in synthetic shoes or just your socks may cause you to slip.  Please avoid high platform or stiletto shoes as these could cause an injury to you or damage to the floor.

Workshops / Lectures

Our workshops and lectures are both entertaining and enlightening. We have conducted them successfully in many countries around the world. Each workshop is carefully planned to ensure that no-one walks away without gaining something useful to help them with their dancing.

Demonstrations/Shows

If you would like something different and entertaining for your function, on request we will demonstrate all five ballroom dances or a selection of dances chosen by you.

Our demonstration dances will communicate to the audience all the magic beauty and fun of ballroom dancing. If you would like us to do a show purely for your entertainment, we are happy to oblige

Studio Hire

Our wonderful air conditioned studio is great for rehearsals or classes. It is available for hire during non-class and term break periods.  Contact us for more information
